Biona Organic Coconut Milk 400 ml : almost like fresh home made milk

Amazing deal considering this is a 6-pack of organic coconut milk. I use them for thai curry and it works great. Note that the contents can get a little separated, but that does not alter the final taste, especially if used in cooking.

I use this almost every day (including my porage). Part of my subscribe and save deals. Much more better and cheaper compering to the supermarket brands.

I make coconut muffins with this excellent product. Here are the specifications for the Biona Organic Coconut Milk 400 ml:

  • Pure coconut milk
  • A milky white colour and distinctively sweet
  • With no added sugar or preservatives
  • Can be used to flavour rice, custards and creams, cakes and batters

Good product and will purchase again. Good product and will purchase again. Quite expensive but i wanted to try an organic product as many others have a lot of bad added ingredients.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • NO GUM! By far the healthiest on the market.
  • Brilliant product but be careful when you come to use
  • Best Coconut Milk

Can’t say i love it, but thats down to taste buds, give it a good shake in the can, decant into another container or direct to glass & your ready to go. I prefer it cold so once decanted store in fridge to chilled, occassionally their are bits of raw coconut in it, which took little getting use to having been a milk, then almond milk drinker, the bits were a surprise & a little oily. However, good shake & stir pre use, & no bits, i now find it a refreshing drink, great when i’m feeling peckish & dont want to pick. Also great addition to fish dishes instead of milk,.

There are far cheaper options out there with identical ingredients and taste.

Brilliant product but be careful when you come to use. Brilliant product but be careful when you come to use it because if you are a great clumsy oaf like me there is a good chance you will splash this product all over yourself as well as your kitchen surfaces when digging through to the liquid.

No longer my favourite coconut milk. Edit june 2017 – the quality of this product has declined the last few times i’ve ordered it. I noticed another reviewer had mentioned chaokoh coconut milk as being better quality so i gave it a shot and it’s far superior to this product now, deliciously creamy and tastes amazing. So if you’re not fussed about organic but just looking for a coconut milk without any emulsifiers, i 100% recommend you give that brand a try – i’m not looking backoriginal review – this product isn’t as beautifully emulsified as some other brands, simply because it doesn’t contain an emulsifier (which is why i buy it as guar gum makes me very unwell). That said, it always tastes fantastic and it’s actually pretty handy to be able to use the coconut cream and water separately sometimes. And if you want to mix it before use, you can just gently heat the can and shake it.

I’ve been making curries using patak’s paste for some time now, a number of which, including korma, require coconut milk. I tried various leading brands of tinned coconut milk from the mainstream supermarkets. Results were poor, with a slightly unpleasant aftertaste associated with the coconut. I’d been hoping to produce something near restaurant quality for the coconut based recipes as i’d managed with all my other efforts with the patak’s paste, and wondered what the problem was. I developed a theory that, as every brand i had tried contained additives, including gua gum, perhaps these were tainting the product when used for cooking. So i searched for additive and preservative free coconut milk – and discovered biona. I’ve used three tins so far, all from separate batches including some from a six tin consignment ordered through amazon. The results have been amazing, and i’ve finally achieved the high quality of flavour i was seeking. The product in each tin has been in a perfect state when opened.

Good product; forgive the pun, but it is what it says on the tin. Wanting to write a review more for correcting the complainers – there is nothing wrong with the product if the water and fattier parts separate – that is what you are buying. I blend mine, use the the water for teas/coffees, and the creamier deposits for deserts or to mix with sauces. Personally, it’s more important to me to buy a product that doesn’t have an emulsifier agent in (which is problematic for gut bacteria/biome) than one that is perfectly smooth (i. )if added chemicals isn’t much of an issue for you, go for cheaper products (cans or indeed, the carton milks) – if organic, closer-to-whole foods, is your thing, ignore the nay-sayers, experiment with how you can use the different separated parts and see if this ‘good’ product works for you.
