Great spinkled on a jacket potato. A great alternative to butter / adding fats to jacket potatoes. Butter buds were suggested whilst in a slimming world group. I now just sprinkle a sachet over my potato in preference to other toppings at the same time as keeping to my slimming world plan. It does say you can use them for other meal ideas, although i’ve only used to top my potato so can’t comment further.

Great butter substitute flavour for hot foods and cooking. I have reviewed this product before and i am leaving here more positive feedback. My friend is on a diet, he is a butter lover on baked potatoes. When i sprinkle ‘butterbuds’ on a hot jacket or mash, you can not tell the differance. I would reitterate that this item is not a butter substitute for use in cooking or spreading, it is a butter based flavouring/seasoning for use on hot foods or in sauces for a buttery taste. Very highly recomended – all the butter taste without the calories.

These are quite handy for when you are following slimming world as low syns but add a buttery taste to your cooking.

Butter Buds 80 x 2g Sachets : No longer deprived of a buttery taste. Fantastic for anyone unable to have dairy products you don’t feel deprived when having a jacket potato they make them light and fluffy just like using butter i no longer fell like i am suffering with bland food i would recommend them to anybody trying to cut down on calories or like me unable to tolerate fats.

    A great replacement for full fat oil / butter. A great replacement for full fat oil / butter. Some people have said they smell rancid. I think they smell like parmesan cheese but the smell goes away once it’s mixed.

    Essential for my slimming world diet. A bit “cheesy” tasting but i like them.

    I add these to everything to give a buttery taste with far fewer calories.

    Great as i do slimming world can have creamy smashed potatoes.
      1. Great low calorie alternative to butter. Being on slimming world diet this is a fantastic way to get the buttery taste without the calories. Just add 5ml of hot water to each sachet and hey presto melted butter , great for toast , jacket spuds , mashed potato and adding to scrambled eggs.
