Grace Premium Coconut Milk 1 Litre : Good quality and value and distant expiration

I had exactly the same experience as the 1 star review by mr. Royalty; the first batches a few months ago were thick and delicious coconut milk, but recent batches have been watery and bland. The cream of coconut milk naturally separates from the water, and since no emulsifier is used, my guess is that the coconut milk isn’t mixed properly before being packaged, resulting in random thicker or thinner batches. Could this potentially mean the the nutrition info isn’t entirely accurate?since there’s no way to tell what i’m getting, i’ve resorted to buying tesco’s coconut milk as a temporary solution. It has a bizarre taste but at least it’s consistent. (if you let the contents settle and don’t shake the can before opening, you can pour the concentrated coconut milk out and leave the strange tasting water mixture behind.

Best ever – will buy again and again.

Unlike other people whose reviews i have read, my batch of coconut milk received 2 days ago is as thick and creamy as can be – i’m very happy with the product. It’s perfect for making kefir which is why i bought it. Here are the specifications for the Grace Premium Coconut Milk 1 Litre:

  • Premium quality – 18.0% fat content.
  • An essential, signature ingredient in Caribbean, Chinese, Indian, Thai and South-Asian cuisines.
  • Adds a delicious smoothness and delicate, subtle flavour to curries, stews, rice dishes, sauces, soups, desserts and beverages.

I definately think like some others have said you could water it down. This is so creamy and fesh tasting. Some people have said it is a lot more expensive than supermarket versions, however, this is a 1 litre carton and supermarkets generally sell 400ml tins. From my workings out, it’s over double for the same price as you’d pay for the premium brand – but with a much higher coconut content and without any nasty bits in, just coconut and water.I definately think like some others have said you could water it down too depending on how you’re using it and then freeze leftovers.

I like that it *allegedly* has only coconut and water but. I like that it *allegedly* has only coconut and water but i hate that it doesn’t separate when you put it in the fridge. I believe this is a normal attribute of coconut milk so not sure exactly why this doesn’t separate.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Excellent Coconut milk – best ive tried.
  • This is Superb! LOVE it!
  • I definately think like some others have said you could water it down

There were some negative reviews about it being watery?. I find the consistency great. In fact canned is more watery. Actually, if i am being 100% honest i don’t think i have had a better coconut milk. It tastes pure and has a nice consistency and obviously is coconutof course trying to eat healthy and paleo i do have some concerns, such as the information read in the comments regarding possible additives or preservatives and certificate information possibly not given from the manufacturer?. I suppose if anyone is truly concerned they could ask foods standards to investigate. But tastes legitimate anyhow. A big concern however is that the company grace isn’t actually producing it?so that’s concerning since the company producing it isn’t registered in the uk.

One of the highest quality coconut milks you can get. Yes, it’s thick, it’s meant to be. Try this against the low content canned stuff, you won’t regret. Makes great yoghurt and smoothies.

I absolutely adore this coconut milk – it’s by far the best i’ve tried. But for some reason the bulk packs of 12 x 1 litre are no longer available. I like the carton size and much prefer to tins, but now i find the alternatives are buying 12 x400ml tins (not ideal, as prefer cartons) or 3 x 1 litre cartons for an extortionate price.

Best coconut milk i’ve found. No nasty additives, really smooth (unlike tins) and beautifully thick. It makes great yoghurt and kefir.

Fantastic in a curry and it makes great coconut kefir. This milk is so thick and creamy. Fantastic in a curry and it makes great coconut kefir. I tried some other coconut milk products and they were very thin and watery so i will stick to this product in the future.

      1. Good alternative to dairy products. Very tasty coconut milk with a consistency of cream rather than milk. As described on the packing,it contains 75% of a coconut extract. Good alternative to dairy products.

Have bought this item several times previously and love it. Have bought this item several times previously and love it. However, the last batch is not suitable for consumption. Every carton is bulging and the contents are really thick and need to be spooned out of the carton. Even after diluting with water the milk sets to a consistency similar to set yoghurt. Unfortunately we no longer have the original packaging and due to family emergency were unable to return item within 30 days.

    1. Love the taste and consistency. I am using it for drinks, raw desserts, cakes and whole cooking instead of dairy cream.
