Provamel Organic Coconut and Rice 1 Litre, Coconut and Rice – a LIFE SAVER.

Excellent substitute for dairy. Excellent substitute for dairy, a life saver for people / babies with allergies / breastfeeding mothers. Excellent taste and great in porridges, etc.

I love this milk so much, all provamel plant drinks are absolutely delicious but what happened to the free delivery?. 88 for delivery now is a bit way too much, isn’t it??.

Provamel Organic Coconut and Rice 1 Litre (Pack of 6)

  • The combination of coconut and rice milk is clever, with the milks tempering each other’s strong flavours
  • The provamel rice coco drink is 100 percent plant based and is naturally refreshing
  • This delicious drink is low in fat and without added sugar
  • Gm free

I think this is the tastiest milk substitute that i’ve tried. I personally think it’s great in both tea & coffee. You do need to add a bit more than ordinary milk, but if you add it before the hot water it’s fine. I tried it with cocoa powder & it was like drinking a liquid bounty bar – yum.

Great on cereal, but a bit light in flavour for coffee. Go for almond or hazelnut for coffee/tea as you won’t water it down.

Provamel coconut and rice – a life saver. . For the mother of a 9 year old boy who has severe lactose intolerance and cannot drink any form of cows milk, this product has revolutionised our lives. It is delicious either on its own as a drink or in puddings, cereals etc and because of the sweetness of the coconut, there is no need for added sugar – which is always a bonus. 3 out of 4 of us in our house now use this drink as a milk substitute. Please, please bring it back. It is ridiculous to suspend orders because one person complained. The answer to that is simple – it they don’t like it, don’t buy it again, but leave the rest of us provamel lovers to enjoy our drink in peace.

  1. Excellent flavor, texture, richness and best of all: no carageenan. This is the family favourite of non-dairy milks. The combination of organic rice and coconut make a lovely blend whereas rice milk on its own is sometimes too watery for some and coconut milk on its own is often too rich depending on how it’s being eaten. I commend provamel for not adding the harmful thickening agent, carageenan, in this product. The balance in this “milk” is perfect and doesn’t need gimmicks or additives to make it palatable.

    1. Please bring it back (i’ve just run out and my local health foods store doesn’t stock it). I simply love this product, whilst recognising it is a drink and doesn’t have much do do with milk. It’s a great substitute though if you can’t have/won’t drink milk. Tastes delicious and works well in smoothies, with protein powders or on its own as a refreshing chilled drink. Please bring it back or i’ll have to learn how to make it.

  3. I have tried this product, & what more can one say than delicious & refreshingi am intolerant to cows’ milk & all products containing any, i have suffered great physical pain, not to mention all the other nasty effects these ingredients cause me. Companies have to “cover” themselves for legal reasons, when products are produced in the same factory as those containing possible “allergens”. For some people the effects of say, peanuts can cause anaphylactic shock, quickly followed by death, unless they have immediate medical intervention. However there are increasingly more people, ( for whatever reason) who are made very “ill” by such foods as cows’ milk products & gluten containing ingredients, in particular, there are others (apart from “peanuts” which are not a nut at all, but a legume, & other “tree” nuts), one i was very surprised by was “celery”, but then my ex-husband worked with someone who was extremely allergic to cucumbers. But to those people who think that it is “a lifestyle choice” are lucky that they don’t know what the hell they are talking about. Try being me in the middle of an ibs pain attack, it may not in itself cause death, but the pain (one comes to take for granted that only having to run to the loo a dozen times of a morning is “a good day”) can & does drive people to suicide, its a pain that once it starts can leave one in agony for weeks, & one has no idea when it will stop. I not only have to avoid foods that i love but have to wear a “pain patch” (like a nicotine patch, expect mine have a strong painkiller that gives me a constant consistent dose, & yes sometimes even this isn’t enough, but i can not afford to get into a spiral of an increasing dose, because one hits a “ceiling” & one can not safely take an even higher dose, which itself will not always be enough to be completely pain free, so i don’t take liberties with what i eat. For me the consequences of “dairy” & gluten aren’t limited to just pain & a lifetime spent on the looso i have to make a judgement call, when a product says “may contain traces of.
