Cheese is great, even now consuming it.

I initially tried using this in the70’s and was hooked on the caramel smoothness. This is just fantastic and wonderful for sweet tooth amongst us.

Really like this cheese – it’s very sweet and good with crackers and wine.

My dad loves this cheese and as it seems to be unobtainable in the shops now, i bought this large hunk for him for christmas. Still expensive but cheaper buying in quantity.

  • Norwegian Brown Cheese
  • As seen on the ‘Hairy Bikers’ Bakation

I’ve waited for 26yrs to try this again – delicious. . I’ve been waiting to buy some of this since 1990 which was the only time i ever tasted it. A norwegian flat-mate at uni brought some back after christmas. Wonderful to finally find it on amazon, and just as delicious as i remember. Thin slices on their own, or (as i just did) eaten with coarse-grain home-made sourdough bread. The only negative was that the product’s wrapping was not sealed. Doesn’t seem to have been harmed though.

Bit high and i would not buy in the summer as like others have said it is not packed for keeping. I can give the cheese 5 star + – but the price, bit high and i would not buy in the summer as like others have said it is not packed for keeping cool – at this time of the year no problem. I don’t think the royal mail have over heated warehouses as they were the couriers and not as indicated refrigerated dhl vans. I also think the showing of two when the price is for each is a no, no. The cheese is fantastic and meets two of my best love foods fudge and cheese all in one.

It’s delicious, nutritious and unique. Ekte geitost (also shipped in by tine) is superior, but if i couldn’t get that, gudbrandsdalen would do. Don’t, like valentine warner (who also calls it brunost – grrr) eat it in thick slabs. My mother said, and experience has taught me how right she was, that you get the taste better with leaf-thin slices, slices so thin you can see through them. That makes a good cheese slicer essential. Mine is norwegian, but i am sure there must be something suitable in the uk.

Gjetost Gudbrandsdalen 250g Norwegian Brown Cheese : A little smaller than i was expecting but good quality.
